Ubelejit Samuel Urang is a result-oriented Business Change Consultant with delivery records in managing complex Business Transformation Programme (Oracle ERP) and Business Improvement initiative. Ubelejit has a proven track record of delivering measurable benefits, developing alignment and capability in sponsor and change agents to prioritise risks and focus effort where it has the most impact across the business. He leads by example using a hands on approach.

Ubelejit is currently undertaking an MBA with the Manchester Business School (MBS). He has postgraduate qualifications in Economics, Management and he graduated with a B.Eng (Hons) qualification in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield. Ubelejit left Sheffield University to work as a Project Engineer for Pöyry Group (an Engineering Consultancy firm focussed on supporting clients within the nuclear industry). Key clients included British Nuclear Fuels Ltd (now Sellafield), UKAEA, and MoD amongst others.

Ubelejit then moved on to join Accenture (the IT Management Consultancy firm), where he worked as a Business Analyst for over 5 years enabling clients mainly within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors to capture business requirements, facilitate process design, re-engineering of processes and process improvement initiatives – clients included the Medicines and product Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) and the National Health Service (NHS).

After Accenture, Ubelejit joined Network Rail Ltd as a Business Change Consultant. He was part of the Strategic Change team that led and managed the £30m Enterprise Resource Planning (Oracle ERP) Programme to standardise the back-end business processes across Network Rail including, the Finance, Oracle Business Intelligence, HR (Recruitment (including self-service)), Procurement, Payroll and Learning & Management processes. Ubelejit delivered a year-on-year procurement cost reduction of over £1.5m and reduced the recruitment process lead-time from over 4 months to 2 months as part of the ERP Programme.

At Network Rail, Ubelejit led and managed the £5m Fleet Asset Management project at the National Delivery Service business function – delivering cost savings of over £2m per annum for the Business Sponsor.

Ubelejit joined CSC Computer Sciences Ltd (an IT Consultancy firm) as an Organisational Change Consultant working on the NHS IT Project – supporting NHS Trusts in the North West and North East of England. During this role, Ubelejit enabled NHS Wirral Trust to develop a Business Change Team providing business change expertise, coaching and mentoring to three Business Managers. Ubelejit supported the Wirral Trust in delivering the Secondary & Community Care project to support the podiatry and physiotherapy departments. He also reduced the problem of duplication in tracking child health records of pre-school age and school age children for both the NHS Blackpool and Lancashire.

Ubelejit started Elevation Consulting Ltd and worked as a senior associate with WCI Consulting Ltd – supporting clients within the Pharmaceutical industry. He worked on two key projects for a client based in Copenhagen (Leo Pharma) to design and implement a new Signal Detection & Management and Product Labelling processes.

In 2011, Elevation Consulting worked with Harrow Council on a Business Transformation Programme (BTP) to support the introduction and implementation of appropriate policies. The policies supported the achievement of the required behavioural change that enabled the embedment of administrative changes across the directorates.
